Hi, I’m Fatima—a licensed clinical social worker and mental health therapist with over five years of experience supporting individuals and couples from diverse backgrounds through emotional, relational, and psychological challenges. My practice is rooted in empathy, curiosity, cultural humility, and grounded realism.
With a master’s degree in international clinical social work, I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate on global mental health initiatives, addressing cross-cultural challenges and systemic barriers to care. My international mandate has shaped my therapeutic lens to be inclusive, anti-oppressive, and deeply attuned to the complex identities and lived experiences of my clients.
At October Wellness Counseling, I provide therapy and counseling services for individuals, couples, and adolescents (14+), in a supportive, confidential, and culturally sensitive environment. At October wellness, we also provide family mediation services.
All sessions are offered by secure videoconference or by phone, based on your preferences and comfort for the population of the province of Quebec, Ontario, Nova Scotia and Alberta.

We support teens navigating school stress, social relationships, identity development, and emotional regulation.

Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, burnout, emotional overwhelm, grief, or major life transitions, individual therapy offers a safe space to explore, process, and heal.
I support couples navigating communication difficulties, disconnection, or ongoing conflict. Therapy helps couples reconnect, build empathy, and develop healthier patterns.
Adolescence can be a time of intense emotional, social, and academic change. I provide a compassionate, non-judgmental space for teens aged 14 and older to explore their thoughts, feelings, and challenges, while building emotional tools and confidence. Therapy is adapted to each teen’s pace and needs.
We believe in meeting you where you are—with honesty, warmth, and real conversations that honor your lived experiences.
We prioritize emotional safety by creating a non-judgmental space where you feel seen, heard, and supported, especially in moments of vulnerability.
We work together. You are the expert of your own story, and therapy is a co-created process that respects your pace, preferences, and goals.
We strive to help you reconnect with your inner strengths, clarify your needs, and move forward with confidence and self-trust.
We practice with curiosity and openness, acknowledging the impact of culture, migration, language, and identity on your well-being.
We celebrate and support all brains. We recognize that mental health is not one-size-fits-all and tailor our approach to respect neurodivergent needs.
We value the interconnectedness of emotional, mental, and physical health, incorporating tools that promote holistic well-being.
Our focus isn’t just on short-term relief—but on building insights, habits, and relational patterns that support long-term transformation.
